His intense and demanding personality has been described as "evil" and "nasty" by some of his former teammates, including Scottie Pippen, who felt that Jordan was condescending and difficult to play with. • Jordan’s hatred for Jerry Krause is no secret. Krause was general manager of the Chicago Bulls during the glory days in the 90s. The two would often feud publicly, mainly on basketball management issues. Krause was hated by the Bulls fans because of this. He was further vilified in the Netflix documentary, The Last Dance. Even his widow was not spared by the rabid resentment. During a Ring of Honor ceremony in January 2024, Thelma Krause was booed by the Chicago crowd. In the documentary, a clip showed His Airness mockingly commenting on Krause’s height.
• Toni Kukoc got a taste of Jordan’s evil attitude even before he joined the NBA. Jerry Krause decided to make Kukoc his prime recruitment target for the Bulls, and Jordan didn’t like the idea. In the 1992 Olympics, Jordan conspired with teammate Scottie Pippen in tormenting the 20 year-old Croatian. He was labeled as “Jerry Krause in a Croatian Uniform.” The bullying continued during his term with the Bulls. But, unlike Kwame Brown, Kukoc didn’t fold and showed his worth. He was a vital cog in the second threepeat campaign as an indispensable sixth-man.
